The Story
Hello! I'm Rebecca.
The drive to create beautiful spaces has haunted me for life. I can’t seem to get away from it. My philosophy is routed in the belief that your home should feel as good as it looks. It should be a space where you feel relaxed and also keeps you interested. A space that showcases the touchstones of your life and conveys the story of where you’ve been and who you’ve met along the way. It should be a reflection of you which means not cookie-cutter.
I’ve got designer intuition that hears what the room needs and a problem-solving brain that makes it happen. My style is eclectic - blending the new with the old and incorporating vintage finds as much as possible.

In addition to my design work, I have 15 years experience in the project and financial management of international development projects. The more complicated the project, the more interesting it is for me. I understand the importance of careful management to keep within budget while getting the job done well.

When I'm not immersed in Excel spreadsheets or contemplating form and function, I am chasing three active boys. Interiors should be beautiful, but they should also be practical and withstand the destruction that inevitably looms when you share a space with kids. Sometimes its better to opt for furniture that is high-quality and timeless and other times its better to choose something that can be easily replaced once the children are older. I am here to help guide you through these dilemmas.

So, why "happy eyes?" The purpose behind home design is to make you happy. Make your eyes happy. Its for the sheer pleasure of experience of being in a beautiful space. It's not a means to an end, it's an end in itself and that's all the justification you need to make your home beautiful.
